Today is the 2nd day of spring.
Today is a Snow Day!
Today will need to be made up at the end of this school year.
I did not want to miss school today.
We were scheduled to go on a Field Trip.
I was sad when I saw the snow moving into our area.
Prior to today, I have been tired.
I have been more than tired – exhausted.
I have been stressed.
I have been struggling with my health.
I have been trying to just “keep up” on a daily basis.
I have had to cancel outings.
I have had to cancel events.
I have had to pace myself and hope to accomplish something – anything.
This morning, I received the school closing call.
Frustration set in.
Then … I realized … God knew better than me.
He ALWAYS knows better than me.
He has provided me an extra day in the middle of my busy routine to stop.
Stop and rejuvenate.
Stop and meditate.
Stop and rest.
Stop and count my blessings.
Stop and read my Bible.
Stop and pray.
Stop and “catch up.”
Catch up on responsibilities.
Catch up on chores.
Catch up on rest.
Catch up on reading.
Catch up with my family.
Catch up with friends.
Catch up on "planning."
Planning for my students.
Planning for my family.
Planning for events.
Planning to travel.
Planning to see family.
Planning to "spend time" with our Karsen.
Spending time is my biggest expenditure.
Time is precious.
I can’t buy more time.
I must spend my time wisely.
Today, God provided me an “extra” day – more time.
I am thankful He knows better than me – ALWAYS!
