#2020 Goals

Today begins a new day, of a new month, of a new year, of a new decade!  Each year of our life is like a book with 12 chapters. This year, I will be completing my 56th book and beginning my 57th.  I am currently writing page 20,550 of my life's book. I am well over halfway finished with this adventure called life. Some of my chapters have been sad. Some have been happy. Some have been exciting. Some have been boring.  All have been God-filled! Today, I continue writing this blog: An Eddy Adventure,  because for more than 36 years I have been enjoying one.  I want to continue to share musings, thoughts, ideas, encouragement, laughter, experiences, or 'whatever" ... all through my adventures.  If this blog affects just one person in a positive way, just once ... I will be thankful! On this day, I have once again set goals for myself for this year of my life's book: 1. Reflect Jesus  2. Be thankful  3. Laugh more 4. Show...

For the past few years, I have chosen a word for the year instead of making resolutions. This year my word is FOCUS . Definition: noun 1. the center of interest or activity verb 2. pay particular attention to. As we begin this new year, 2020, the fact it infers a "perfect vision" or "focus" isn't lost on me. Over the last few months, I have undergone medical procedures required to save my vision and I've become more aware of how often vision is referenced in my everyday life. My awareness of this has been heightened as my life has been interrupted by the possibility of losing my vision. Blindness has always been one of my biggest fears (along with quick sand but that is a blog for another day). However, as this possibility became close to reality, I had to step back and reset my thinking.
